KIRBY O. PRICEwas born June 18, 1949 in Olla, Louisiana and has resided in Monroe, Louisiana for more than 40 years. He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 1971, and earned his MBA from ULM in 1972. He graduated in 1978 from the Paul M. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University, earning a Juris Doctorate. He has practiced law in Monroe since 1978, focusing on business transactions and real estate law. Mr. Price's practice includes representation of both buyers and sellers, as well as lenders and borrowers, in various secured and unsecured transactions, as well as contractual matters such as leases, condominiums, and the formation of legal entities. Mr. Price is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Fourth District Bar Association. He is a certified real estate instructor by the Louisiana Board of Realtors; member and past board member of the Lotus Club; member and past board member of Bayou DeSiard Country Club; past chairman of the Professional Division and Major Donor's Division of the United Way of Northeast Louisiana; past president of the Ouachita Chapter of the LSU Alumni Association; past board member of the Louisiana Land Title Association; past member of the Bank Counsel Committee of the Louisiana Banker's Association; St. Mathew's Catholic Church parishioner; and Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity.
J. LAWRENCE MULLENSwas born November 7, 1947 in Dallas, Texas and has resided in Monroe, Louisiana, since September, 1948. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Northeast Louisiana University in 1970. He graduated from Louisiana State University Law School, with a Juris Doctorate in 1973. Mr. Mullens is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association Committee for Title Standards, the Louisiana State Bar Foundation Fellowship, the Fourth District Bar Association, the American Land Title Association, past President of Louisiana Land Title Association, United Way of Northeast Louisiana, past President and member of the Board Directors of the Ouachita Valley Boy Scouts of America, member and former President of Lotus Club; Board Attorney for Monroe-West Monroe Board of Realtors, past President for the Fourth Judicial Junior Bar Association, past President of Ouachita Parish Louisiana State University Alumni Association, past member of Louisiana State University Alumni Council, past member of the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes, past member of the Board of Directors of the Monroe Rotary Club, past member of Monroe Jaycees. past member Board of Directors of Bayou DeSiard Country Club, past President of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, member of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity, Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Order (Social Fraternity), member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Who's Who in South and Southwest (1975), Outstanding Young Man of America (1979), and the Monroe Chamber of Commerce.
AMY PRICE SAWYERwas born in Monroe, Louisiana where she presently resides with her husband, Michael, and their two children, Claire and Will. She is a graduate of St. Frederick High School, and received her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University in 2001. Before attending law school, Mrs. Sawyer was employed with The Center for Prisoners’ Legal Assistance in Atlanta, Georgia and the Louisiana State Senate. She graduated cum laude from Southern University Law Center, with a Juris Doctorate in 2009. She was a member of the Southern University Law Review, and is the author of You Mean My Doctor Is Not an Expert?: The Admissibility of the Medical Review Panel Opinion in Summary Judgment Proceedings, 36 S. U. L. Rev. 337 (2009).
Before associating with Mullens Price Sawyer, LLC and North Delta Title, Mrs. Sawyer clerked for the Honorable Laura Prosser Davis of Baton Rouge City Court and the Honorable Annette M. Lassalle of The Family Court of East Baton Rouge Parish.
Mrs. Sawyer is a member of the American Bar Association; the Louisiana State Bar Association; the Fourth District Bar Association; Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity; the Northeast Louisiana Association of Realtors; the Junior League of Monroe; the Monroe Chamber of Commerce; the Lotus Club; and past member of the Junior Garden Club of Monroe. Mrs. Sawyer serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Lawyers Section of the Fourth Judicial District where she holds the office of social chair; serves on the Board of Directors of the United Way of Northeast Louisiana and, with her husband, co-chairs the United 45 Affinity Group, and co-chairs the Black & White Ball Committee which supports the Children's Advocacy Center. Mrs. Sawyer and her family are parishioners of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
